📢 Important Club Announcement – Changes to Friday Sessions

Hello everyone!

We wanted to let you all know about a small change to our regular club schedule.

For the time being, Uttoxeter Hobby Club will no longer be running our regular Friday evening sessions.

This decision has been made due to the lower attendance on Fridays, as we want to ensure that the time, resources and costs involved in running the club are being used effectively.

This doesn't mean Fridays are gone forever! 💚

We're more than happy to bring Friday sessions back in the future if there's enough interest and demand from members to make them worthwhile. Ultimately, the club is here for the community, and we want our activities to reflect what works best for everyone.

What about Dungeons & Dragons and other role-playing games?

Don't worry! None of our currently running D&D or other role-playing campaigns will be affected by this change, as these are already taking place on Saturdays.

We're also always happy to welcome new Dungeon Masters, Game Masters and anyone interested in hosting their own tabletop adventures!

If there's enough interest in starting a new campaign on a Friday, or even another day of the week that works better for everyone involved, we're absolutely open to discussing and arranging something.

Saturday sessions will continue as normal!

Our Saturday gatherings remain unchanged, and everyone is still welcome to come along, whether you're interested in tabletop games, trading card games, role-playing adventures or simply meeting people who share your hobbies.

A little thank you and an apology

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this change may cause, particularly if you had already made plans to attend on an upcoming Friday.

We appreciate everyone's continued patience, understanding and support as we work towards making the club sustainable and enjoyable for everyone involved.

As always, if you have suggestions, would like to host something, or want to see Friday sessions return, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

FINAL DATE CORRECTION

Okay, now we have the correct information!

The Bradley House Card Show is NEXT FRIDAY, 9th October, not today. Sorry again for the confusion and all the last-minute changes.

Our normal club session IS going ahead today at Quakers House as usual, so if you were planning on coming along, you can still find us there!

Then next Friday, we'll be at Bradley House Club from 5pm–8pm alongside the Card Show. There'll be plenty of TCGs to buy, sell and trade, while we'll be there playing games and meeting new people.

Thank you for bearing with us while we got the dates straight!

The Hobbit Draft is coming to Uttoxeter Hobby Club!

We're getting a box of The Lord of the Rings: The Hobbit Play Boosters arriving tomorrow, and we'd like to turn it into a special draft night at the club!

The plan is:

• £20 entry
• 3 Hobbit Play Boosters per player to draft with
• Prize support from the remaining boosters
• The box also includes a Box Topper, which will be part of the event's special prize pool
• 8 players is the ideal number, with a minimum of 6 needed to run the draft

We're not setting the date just yet. We'd rather give everyone a fair chance to arrange their evening and pick a date that works for the people who actually want to play.

So if you'd be interested in joining us, send us a message and let us know!

We're also planning another special draft night using a Marvel's Super Heros box later on, so if Hobbit isn't your thing, there's another one coming.

This isn't replacing our normal club nights either — it's just something extra we're putting together for everyone who enjoys a good draft.

If you've been waiting for an excuse to get some friends together and play some Magic, this might be it.

39 Carter Street – The Quakers Building, Uttoxeter

You'll find us next to Wilfred House, tucked just behind some well-maintained trees. If you're struggling to spot the building, that's the best landmark to look out for.

Parking is available on Carter Street, and we're also just a short walk from the town centre car parks, making it easy to reach whichever way you choose to travel.

Whether you're into Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Dungeons & Dragons, board games, or just looking to meet fellow hobbyists, we'd love to welcome you!

First time visiting? Your first session is completely FREE!

We're also excited to announce a new family-friendly update:

Children aged 16 and under can now attend FREE when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Why not make it a family hobby? Parents and guardians are welcome to stay, play games, learn something new, and enjoy the community alongside their children.

Everyone is welcome, whether you're a complete beginner or a long-time player. Come along, say hello, and see what we're all about!

Join us on Friday, August 7th for a brand-new TCG Night in Uttoxeter!

We've been invited to a Trading Card Game event hosted by a friend of the club, and we'd love for you to come along!

We'll be there introducing people to a variety of card games, trading cards, chatting with players, and spreading the word about Uttoxeter Hobby Club. It's a great chance to meet fellow TCG fans and, hopefully, welcome some new faces to our future club nights.

Everyone attending is automatically entered into a raffle for a chance to win sealed Pokémon products, with additional raffle tickets available to purchase if you'd like even more chances to win.

Hello, we are in need of possible venues willing to host us tomorrow due to a power outage at our current and possibly longer depending on how long the outage is still around. We only require tables, chairs, access to at least 1 power outlet for a laptop and the space to be relatively peaceful. If this need becomes a longer term requirement then we can discuss it the situation develops
