A polite reminder that our car park is for the users of the hall, Rec, Cafe on the Hill, and The Salon. First thing this morning there were 21 cars in the car park, so our customers have nowhere to park. If we don’t see an improvement in this situation immediately, we will start locking the car park when we have no legitimate users.

A notice that, commencing 30 March 2026, some tree work will be undertaken in Shirley’s Grove - signage will be posted at all entrances, but for your safety please avoid using Shirley’s Grove for dog walking or other leisure activities until the work has completed.

Wow, a massive thank you to all the lovely people who came along to help out with the tree planting! After a bit of a soggy start, volunteers from the Trust, the WI, and the local community really quickly and efficiently planted twelve trees! It was so lovely to see people so keen to help support and develop this community asset!

The trees have arrived! All systems go, tomorrow from 10 am on the Rec in Tutshill! If you have some free time tomorrow, pop over and help us get all these trees planted - there will be coffee, tea, and cake! Just a few volunteers will make a massive difference…

The hedge at the rear of the car park, between the car park and the houses behind, is being cut on Thursday, 6 November. Please avoid parking there, to enable to work and to avoid the risk of vehicles being damaged. Café on The Hill Tutshill please share!

A quick heads up that David Kirkham Gardens / local landscape gardening service will be doing some hedge trimming in the car park on Thursday, October 23. Please park either at the end furthest from the Hall, or on the side facing the road, to enable him to do the necessary work!

Help wanted!

We are looking for a few volunteers for help with specific activities:

1) We need a Secretary for the Trust - to either act as a Trustee or independently. To minute meeting and provide occasional admin support

2) Support with our social media

3) Trustees to liaise with user groups

The commitment would be a quarterly regular meeting, ad hoc meetings specific to specific topics as required

Please get in touch if you’re interested in supporting the Hall, Rec, and Shirley’s Grove through day to day running and future enhancements!
