Proud to be part of 16 Days of Activism with Phoenix Rising

WE are offering women to have a say, have their voice. For 16 days of Activisim November till December, we are working closely with the RedEarth Playback Theatre to give women a say on post-separation abuse.

We know women who come through our service are still experiencing different kinds and levels of post separation abuse, whether that is enconomic, through the court system, harassment and more.

These sessions let women explore how they feel, about it, have their say out loud in a private, confidential group, and see their story unfold by the talented actors.

Women have said previously after attending these sessions:

"This is such an empowering session, hearing, and seeing a part of my story was validating, yes I was abused, yes I did experience that"

"Having our voice is so important after abuse, and seeing what the amazing ladies at Playback theatre do, to sensitively tell our stories, was so validating, emotional but needed, I feel a weight lifted"

We give women a confidential, safe space for healing and this is part of their healing process. Any woman can come, whether you have experienced abuse a long time ago or not, whatever type of abuse you've experienced, come and be part of this empowering session.

*You will not be made to talk if you don't want to, you can be part of the supportive group by just being there**

This week, we joined NHS Cornwall and The Isles of Scilly Talking Therapies for a day of reflections.

Over 130 therapists attended and shared their experiences with honesty, tenderness, vulnerability, humour, and courage.

Thanks to all for allowing us to be part of your conversation and going with it despite never having seen Playback before!

Our last performance before the summer break was in the shade of this beautiful oak.

And thank you to the brilliant women who were attending for your courage and vulnerability in sharing your stories.
