Here's Labour's Sagal Abdi-Wali standing next to far-right Restore Britain candidate Tyler Johnson during the count declaration in Holborn and St Pancras

Abdi-Wali was elected as the new MP for the north London constituency, winning 45% of the vote.

Johnson lost his deposit after his far-right party won just 2.5% of the vote.

Look at his face 🤣

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with us at our stall on Saturday 11 July at Meadowbrook, Totnes, and Sunday 26 July at the Totnes District Show. Every conversation helps us build a more resilient and sustainable future powered by local renewable energy! ⚡️

It was fantastic to meet so many people interested in community energy, share more about TRESOC’s mission and latest projects - including our proposed Dart Marine Park solar project - and see so many of you getting hands-on with one of our interactive activities. It was great to watch both children and adults discover how everyday items can generate electricity and spark conversations about renewable energy! 🍋🔋

We’re delighted that so many people have already registered their interest in our upcoming community share offer.

If you didn’t get the chance to speak with us but would like to learn more about this unique opportunity or register your interest, we’d love to hear from you. Send us a direct message on Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn, or email us at [email protected].

Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit us and we’re excited to keep the momentum going! 🌱☀️

🏆🏆 What a night!

We're absolutely thrilled to share that TRESOC has won not one, but TWO awards at the Regen Green Energy Awards 2026 in Bristol!

We won the Community Energy Initiative Award, recognising the work we've been doing with Energy Local Totnes to build a fairer, greener local energy market right here in Totnes.

And in an historic first, our Managing Director, Dr Sally Murrall-Smith, jointly won the Net Zero Energy Pioneer Award alongside Dr Mary Gillie, founder of Energy Local CIC – the first time the award has ever been given to two winners!

Congratulations to all the nominees and winners, and thanks to Regen for a wonderful evening, celebrating the best of the clean energy sector.

BIG NEWS! 📢 TRESOC has secured funding from Great British Energy! 🇬🇧⚡️

We are proud to be part of the historic Local Power Plan, bringing £1bn of investment to community energy across the UK.

With this support, we are building a 100kW solar installation at Dart Marine Park at Steamers Quay. This isn't just about solar panels – it's about people power. The energy generated will:

✅ Power local businesses at the park
✅ Supply our Energy Local Totnes club, cutting electricity bills for local homes
✅ Keep money circulating in our town.

This is what the future of energy looks like: local, renewable, and community-owned. Watch this space for our community share offer coming in Summer 2026!
