Huge congratulations to everyone at Hounds for Heroes 🐾❤️🐾

We won! 💙🐾

What an incredible night. Hounds for Heroes has won the Animal Partnership Award at the Soldiering On Awards 2026!

Representing the charity last night were Sean, our Head of Dog Selection, Training and Aftercare, and our newest Partnership, Ryan and Assistance Dog Comet.

Sean summed up what the award means to us:

“It’s huge for us… it just means that we can reach out and help more people.”

This is the first time we have introduced Ryan and Comet, and Comet even wore his bow tie for the occasion! We cannot wait to share more about them and their journey together.

Last night was about so much more than our win. The room was full of people and organisations doing incredible things across the Armed Forces community, and we were so proud to be among them.

Thank you to the Soldiering On Awards for creating a place where that work can be recognised and celebrated, to Pets UK for supporting the award, and to everyone who voted, shared our story and cheered us on. 💙

Tonight’s the night!

We’re heading to the Soldiering On Awards this evening to join our fellow finalists as this year’s winners are announced.

Being named a finalist for the Animal Partnership Award is a huge moment for Hounds for Heroes. As a small charity, it means so much to have the difference our partnerships make recognised.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us, shared our story and taken the time to vote.

It’s a real honour to be there alongside so many people and organisations doing incredible work across the Armed Forces community. Thank you to the Soldiering On Awards for including us in such a special evening. Whatever happens tonight, we’re incredibly proud to be part of it. 🐾
