🐾 Imagine arriving at work one morning and leaving with a puppy! 🥰
That’s exactly what happened to our wonderful volunteer and fosterer Joan when Scooby came into our care.
Scooby was a young puppy, brought to us by an RSPCA Inspector. Joan happened to be helping out on reception that day and was the very first person to greet him.
By 3pm Joan had an extra passenger on the way home! ❤️
With Scooby settling so well in foster and the lovely feedback we received about his progress, we were able to make him available for adoption very quickly. Just two weeks on from arrival, he headed off to his new home, straight from foster, without spending a single night in kennels.
And now? Scooby is happily settled in his new home, with two Collies to show him the ropes and plenty of love to enjoy. 🐶🐶🐶
Of course, it doesn’t always happen quite this quickly, but when it does, it makes such a difference. Instead of experiencing kennel life, Scooby got to grow, learn and relax in a home while he waited for his family to find him.
This is the magic of fostering. ✨
Our foster carers give animals the chance to feel safe, loved and understood while they wait for their next chapter. They give them the very best start, and often help us understand them in ways that simply aren’t possible in a kennel environment.
A huge thank you to Joan and Bob for all the animals you have welcomed into your home, and to every single one of our wonderful foster families. 🥰
You open your homes, give your time and, quite simply, change lives. ❤️🐾If you would like to learn more about becoming a fosterer for us then just click here - https://shorturl.at/Kxrg7
