It's our Early Birds June Meeting this Monday, 8th June.

Come along and find out all about 'Flooding in Somerset' – Weathering the Storms with Bel Deering, Somerset Rivers Authority

This talk looks at how you can prepare for flooding and other emergency events. You will find out about your local risk, how to protect your home, and what to do if you do find yourself in a flood. There are lots of practical ideas, a chance to look at different flood resilience products, and top tips on where to get cheap or even free help if your home is at risk. This talk is all about getting involved – so even if you think you and your own home are not at risk, come to this talk so you can spread the word to your friends and family elsewhere!

Guests and visitors are very welcome – your first visit to the Early Birds is free, your second costs just £5.00.

Don’t forget to bring your reusable cup for free tea and coffee.

The Early Birds headed to The Quantock Restaurant today for a delicious lunch filled with great company, plenty of laughs, and even better food. A special shoutout to Freddy, who treated us to the homemade pineapple pannacotta for dessert - it was absolutely delicious! Safe to say there were plenty of happy faces and empty plates all around. A lovely afternoon spent catching up, sharing stories, and enjoying fantastic food together.

We had such a fun morning decorating plant pots after our Early Birds AGM today. It was wonderful to spend time with friends, get creative together, and enjoy plenty of chats and laughter along the way. A lovely opportunity to catch up, have a good natter, and enjoy each other’s company!

Join Us for a Crafty Catch-Up at Our Monthly Meeting!

Our next monthly meeting is taking place on Monday 11th May, and we’ve got a lovely morning planned. We’ll begin with our AGM, followed by a fun and relaxed crafty social session where we’ll be decorating plant pots together. Whether you’re feeling creative or simply fancy a chat and a cuppa, it’s a great opportunity to catch up on club news and get to know both familiar faces and new members.

A really fascinating afternoon visit to Mr Miles Tea Room last week. We had a talk about coffee and coffee production by Colin Barrell and found out more about his life and his passion for all things tea, coffee and Taunton! We had some really delicious cakes and tea and coffee, then Colin demonstrated how to make the perfect latte!
