Why did they do it like that? Quirky Carpentry in Old Buildings - Tony Harding

In this talk Tony looks at some intriguing and unusual carpentry examples and how they may (or may not!) have helped to strengthen mediaeval buildings. Tony will also bring along a few of his attempts at modelling them to play around with over refreshments!

The Wyndham Picturehouse presents

Join us for the third session of this exciting two-year project by SANHS

Come to West Monkton churchyard to discover more about the wildlife of Somerset’s wonderful churchyards.

In most towns and villages, the parish churchyard is one of the most important areas for wildflowers, lichen, insects and other wildlife in the area.

There is no need to book for this event – just turn up at the churchyard at 10am.
Suggested donation to SANHS of £5.
