Templar Arts & Leisure Centre Trust Templar Arts & Leisure Centre (TALC) is a community led arts & leisure organisation in the centre of Tarbert. Registered Scottish Charity SC029453

Our building is run by volunteers as a charitable trust. Lodge Number 569 of the Independent Order of Good Templars (I.O.G.T.) was established in Tarbert in July 1871. A year later, members built a hall as a meeting place for themselves, and as a place for local people and visitors could gather for social, entertainment or educational purposes. That hall continued to serve the community for many y

ears, but was in a terrible state by the 1990s. A committee was formed to raise funds for a new hall. The new building was formally opened on 23 November 2002. Rooms or the entire hall is available to be rented by the hour or the day by groups and individuals.

We are looking for a Hall Manager/Project Manager - a paid position for 6 months to begin with, 10 hours a week, that would require someone living in (or near) Tarbert to run the Hall (handle online bookings, keeping tabs on the upkeep, heaters, bins, etc -- we already have a cleaner-- any problems that might arise -- and in addition come up with ideas and support for developing new programmes, courses and activities that we could offer. One of your first tasks on the "Project Manager" side would be to find funding to ensure your job could continue beyond those initial 6 months.
