Big thank you to Martin, Ian and Simon for helping us put up the Christmas Decorations for next weeks village halls Christmas lights switch on. I’m really grateful for your time and effort.
Just a reminder to everyone that it’s so important to us at the village hall that the community get involved in our little events at the hall. We have worked tirelessly over the last 3 years to get the building reopened. This year we have been able to upgrade all the electrics, prepare for a kitchen, replace a broken toilet and create a space for 2 new toilets.
But we still need your input for the building to be a community hub and to continue to raise the necessary funding to allow us to open the building. My estimate is that we need £20,000 next year to get the core projects sorted so we can open safely. We can only do that if we can show we have a community wanting to use the building and that we are doing our best to raise funding through our community as well as grants we are trying to raise obtain.
We really want the building to be the hub of the community, even if it’s not new, and needs lots of work, so please come join us for an hour next Sunday, help us start the Christmas festivities in the village, help us raise money, come listen to Mick sing Christmas songs we can all singalong too and show us you want the village hall open as much as we do.
We have a little competition with colouring in Christmas cards, we will have some mulled wine, mince pies, tea and coffee. We now have Warm building too! (Better than last year).
We really hope to see you there.
Lucy 🙂
