A good days sketching at Studland although difficult as the weather changed from jump in the sea sunny to, rain and we might be in for a storm. Handled with aplomb by our group of artists who even combined a cup of coffee to celebrate success or just because it was time for a drink!!

Our exhibition is over all that is left is to announce the awards for the People's Choice. Thank you to all our visitors who voted, and a particular shout out to Deana. Deana is on holiday in Swanage visits the show yearly and offered to help count the votes. We were overwhelmed with the number of votes and without her help would not have been able to announce our winners at close of play. Congratulations to all our artists, announcing our winners of the People's Choice. In 3rd place, Vince Nunn with Cliff Edge Walk, the runner up, Mon Hawley with Purbeck Coastline and the winner of the People's Choice, Emma Gotch with Wareham Woods

The Award for the Best 6x6” challenge went to Liz Hatcher with “Lulworth Cove”
Our judge Heather Gibbons, a third generation artist living in Purbeck, commented “work on ceramic provides a different surface. It’s an unusual composition and its simple lines makes it strong.”
