Please study the Code of Safe Practice / T&C. One of the most important rules, is to maintain a safety zone of at least 50m (2 kite line lengths) from road/cars, pavement/pedestrians. An accidental lofting or emergency release, given a safe distance, is mostly harmless. The same near the road risks the lives of the kiter and the public. At the beach, please keep a constant lookout for anyone coming in to land their kite, and help others to launch/land beyond the 50m line from the harbour wall/road at all times.
