🏆 Poole announces another fantastic award winner.

Congratulations to the Poole Arms who have won the East Dorset CAMRA Urban Pub of the Season - Autumn.

They thank everyone who voted for them to make this possible.

Landlord and landlady Carl & Michelle will be presented with the award at the Poole B**r Festival from East Dorset CAMRA on Friday 30th October.

🍾🥂 Congratulations to The Dolphin Shopping Centre for winning another prestigious award.

Well deserved recognition.

The Dolphin Poole has been named Retail Liaison Award winner at the Sceptre Awards 2026 and we could not be prouder of our team.

This award recognises the people who make The Dolphin what it is. Every day our team is out on the floor talking to our retailers, listening to what they need and helping them succeed. They know the independents in Kingland by name, they look after the national stores in the main mall with the same care and they are the first point of contact whenever a visitor needs a hand. it is the work that builds a community.

John Grinnell, Carmen Davies, Charmaine Burgess, Caroline Taylor, Lisa King, Lucy Hayward and the wider centre team give so much of themselves to this place. They have turned The Dolphin into somewhere people feel welcome, from the families who come to GATHER each week to the shoppers who have been visiting for decades. The judges saw what we see every day, a team that cares deeply about our retailers, our visitors and Poole.

Join us for the annual Candles on the Quay event, a special evening of remembrance, reflection and community on Poole Quay, organised by Lewis-Manning Hospice Care. 🕯️

Dedicate a candle in memory of someone special and watch as hundreds of candles illuminate The Quay, celebrating the lives of those we love and miss.

🎵 Enjoy live music from local performers and moments of reflection, including a special remembrance concert inside St James' Church.

✨ The outdoor lantern display is free to attend and everyone is welcome.

💛 As we remember those we miss, let's support those who need help today. Your support will help raise vital funds for their counselling service which provides bereavement support for local people. Every donation will make a difference.

🎟️ They recommend booking in advance to guarantee your concert place, along with your lantern and candle. If you choose not to book, lanterns they be available on the night for a donation, yet concert entry will be subject to available capacity.
