Work experience students Isabel & Lydia have been having a taste of all things Our Place this week and today helped to maintain our garden and provide some decoration in the form of smile stones.

Motivation Monday! 🏅
On Saturday, we shared that our CEO, Kelly, was taking on the Montane Spine Race, covering an incredible 46 miles from Edale to Hebden Bridge.
We're delighted to share that Kelly successfully completed all 46 miles and is proudly showing off her well-earned medal! 🎉
A huge congratulations to Kelly. It took months of training, dedication and determination to conquer this challenging event, and in doing so, she has raised a phenomenal amount for Our Place.
She's now so close to reaching her £1,500 fundraising target, and we'd love to help her get there.

On Friday, Firyal and Louise attended First Aid training organised by Sutton Coldfield NNS

The training covered essential life-saving skills, including CPR, how to respond to choking incidents, managing different types of bleeding (including catastrophic bleeding), general first aid, and the use of defibrillators.

Developing these skills is an important part of our role in supporting the community. We ensure our team is equipped with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in emergency situations.

1st - 7th June marks Volunteers’ Week, and we want to take a moment to recognise and celebrate the incredible people who give their time, skills, energy and compassion to support us here at Our Place.

From our Directors, who help guide our work, Advisors who support our community, Peer Mentors offering encouragement, understanding and lived experience to those supporting events and fundraising every contribution makes a difference.

Volunteers are at the heart of what we do. Your dedication strengthens our community, helps us reach more people, and creates lasting impact in ways both seen and unseen.
