Hi Everyone!

This is our very last post on the Cherished page.

We did however want to let you know how you can stay in touch .

We are so grateful for your following over the years and we know our work has impacted so many lives.

So what is next for some of our team ?

Sam ( who was our amazing Blossom leader )
Is getting back into her hairdressing , but it’s hairdressing with a special focus . Sam will be offering hair dressing to children who struggle with having their hair cut due to the sensory experience, they may have anxiety , autism or other needs. Sam is kind and compassionate and will not only create a space of safety , but will also provide a great haircut ! She will also come to your home .( sams highly trained and is very experienced !)

Tabatha our amazing creative designer will continue with her own company Cherished Creative. We know so many of you loved our resources and design work … this was all Tabatha’s work !

Hannah ( Our CEO) will be doing what she does best ! Speaking , training and consultancy .
Hannah has set up a company called Connection Counts, she will be providing support to education , charities and also the corporate world to help them become better at Connection and truly trauma informed . Even though the work of Cherished is over , we believe the seeds we have planted will Blossom, we also are passionate about continuing to make a difference to those around us.

Two incredible women .
Sabrina Sacco and Tessa Morton.

Our amazing committed trustees who were relatively new to the trustee board but incredibly supportive through our most challenging time .

When the seas of life are turbulent we need solid and committed people by our side . We need people to guide us , advise us and believe in us . These two women have been the epitome of amazing trustees dedicated to supporting us no matter the landscape ( the charity landscape is hard !) thank you from myself and all of the Cherished Team x

Another beautiful gift that came from lockdown !

Katerina our creative, vibrant, funny and caring Cherished leader .

Kat trained as a mentor during lockdown and it was soon clear she was a great communicator , connector and was relatable to our girls .

Fast forward , Kat because our main Cherished course leader. She was passionate about teaching the girls about their worth and providing the girls with tools for their future .

Kat was always focused on maintaining exceptional standards of delivery in our schools . The girls loved her .

Kat as a gifted actress contributed to our team training sessions putting us through our paces with role play ( making us all laugh!)

Kat has been a huge part of leading our Blossom groups and loving our girls every week , investing in them and encouraging them.

We are so happy that Kat is about to have a beautiful baby girl and we wish her the very best of luck .

Kat we love you, you have ensured the Cherished message has touched many hearts .

Organised , diligent , hard working and committed .

Deb my lovely administrator has been dedicated to serving Cherished to ensure we are organised , efficient and provide a high quality service .

Deb has supported Cherished to be more Eco friendly and to think more about our environment .

The greatest gift that came from
Covid !!!!

I will never forget interviewing the most incredible young women . Passionate, humble, quietly confident and so caring !

Tabatha wanted to become a volunteer mentor with us during covid and she was incredible . She was passionate about mental health and well-being and it was clear to me and everyone around her that she was super super special . Tabatha in her mentoring always went above and beyond , attention to detail , thoughtful resources and ideas .

Tabatha asked me one day if she could create a resource for girls for us to use in schools . I immediately said yes …. Kindness counts was born.

Tabatha started to help develop our resource ideas and visuals and absolutely blew me away !!!!

Eventually Tabatha became a paid member of staff and has been responsible for making our work and resources look next level fabulous !!

Tabatha was so amazing that charities and organisations across the country wanted her amazing work for them … this is when Cherished Creative was born !

Our charity service for other organisations , helping them to become more trauma responsive when creating resources .

Tabatha is one of the hardest working women I know . She is the fastest worker I know !
She produces exceptional quality and is creative, kind and ambitious .

Cherished Creative will be continuing under Tabatha’s leadership .

When I had the vision to launch ROAR our boys service , I was struggling to find great men to take on the challenge .

I received Aaron’s application and I was immediately intrigued by this man !

During our interview together Aaron spoke about Dolphins !!!
Dolphins set off signals and are drawn to other dolphins …. We had that moment .

After the interview , I posted Aaron a dolphin toy and said I would like him on my team.

We connected .

Aaron has been inspirational when supporting so many boys across this city . He has created a safe space for boys in pain. He has delivered to hundreds of boys our I am Able programme , he has genuinely impacted our next generation .

Aaron is thoughtful, reflective , measured and cares deeply about boys understanding themselves and discovering their strengths .

Aaron , thank you for your dedication to the little boys of this town

The greatest empath I know .

Sam is one of a kind .

Steady, solid, super , reliable , kind , honest, passionate, determined, loyal .

Sam came to Cherished to train to be a mentor . I believed in her ability the moment I looked her in the eyes .

An incredible mentor .

I could see she was a leader of girls and so I wanted her to take my baby ( The Cherished Course) and deliver it in our schools . She started in Castle Vale and immediately got the vision.

Sam has cared about our delivery standards, she has seen girls hearts and loved them.

Sam then started leading Blossom girls groups and soon stood out to be the main Blossom leader over all of our courses .

What an incredible woman she is . She has lead with passion , she has defended, loved, cared for and been a voice for our girls .

No challenge to big , no girls needs too big. She has loved and loved and loved .

Every girls life has been touched because of Sam.

If you work in residential care and are looking for the real deal. The hardest worker you can find who is passionate and dedicated and who makes a genuine difference .
Sam is your woman .
She will shake things up and bring about positive change .

A decade ago this lady sent in an application into Cherished to be a volunteer .
Emma shared she wanted to care for children and felt passionate about making a difference .

Emma trained with us as a volunteer to deliver courses in schools , group work sessions and then started supporting in the office . Shortly after volunteering I could see she was a special woman and gave her a job .

Em has been our school coordinator and a million other roles within the organisation and has dedicated her life to making a genuine difference to everyone she meets

Emma has demonstrated Kindness to every worried parent on the end of the phone , she has valued and loved all of our schools and teachers who she has built relationships with .
Emma has brought laughter and vibrancy to our office . She has been the glue that holds things together .

Emma represents everything that is beautiful in this world . Her heart is Cherished and she too has Cherished others .

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being my right hand lady, for always giving everything you have to delivering an impeccable service to our community .

If the people of Sutton are looking for someone who is dedicated to making a difference to the lives of children - Emma is the best of the best .
