Each of our Community Thread E-Newsletter’s offers a look behind the scenes of our Trinity Rooms Community Hub, helping you to learn more about how we operate.

For example, understanding our Sociocracy approach as one of the key Ethos Elements in shaping the concepts and methods of how we work together as a team to bring about our mission and values.

These short overviews are a great reference for wider action too, so no matter where you are based it’s well worth checking out this helpful and inspiring FREE resource via our bio link/at:

Plus for those local to our Stroud Space, we welcome anyone interested to attend one of our FREE sociocracy Training events, either on Friday 18th September or Sunday 29th November - both 2:30pm-3:30pm. More info and RSVP on our website’s Events & What’s on page.

Sociocracy: A system of governance that emphasizes equality and collective intelligence. Instead of relying on traditional top-down hierarchies or majority rule, it empowers smaller groups (circles) to make localized decisions.

The third annual Festival of Commoning is taking place across Stroud on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd October 2026 and tickets with a sliding scale of prices are already available on the official FOC website.

This year’s theme is Common Ground: Healing Divides. Celebrating stories from people and projects who use commoning practices to foster belonging, mutual care, resilience, and shared power in the face of growing societal division, polarisation, inequality, isolation and exclusion.

A group of volunteers organise the festival in our hometown of Stroud as part of a global movement.
This year creating more spaces for people to connect with each other, learn new collaborative skills, and get out and about to see commoning projects already making an impact in and around the local area.

The Festival is for doers, organisers and people who want to common…own it together, make it affordable, keep it forever. It will be an opportunity to come together, share our stories, inspire one another and learn new skills.
