We hope you can join us for a celebration on Sunday July 12 of the wonderful insects, birds and other wildlife to be found in the Heavens Valley - from tiny bugs to magnificent birds of prey, plus all the glorious plants and fungi.
The event will feature talks from wildlife expert Simon Pickering and the ecology team at the Heavens Valley Community Benefit Society, as well as sound recordings, displays, music and refreshments.
And we'll also share recent findings from the community engagement project.

Are you a natural connector, an innovator, and a changemaker who believes that green spaces have the power to bring people together?

Middle of the Hill Community Group is looking for a creative, energetic Green Spaces Project Lead here at Nouncells Cross in Stroud!

The twist? We are looking for a Community Builder FIRST, and a gardener second 🤝✨

If you have a zest for engaging hard-to-reach communities, bags of empathy, and a few innovative ideas up your sleeve to get neighbours talking, laughing, and planting together, we want YOU. Basic growing know-how is brilliant, but your passion for people is what matters to us most!

The Details: Approx. 10-12 hours per month ( we can be flexible, but a regular session one afternoon a week is key) from May to October. Paid role (self-employed/contractor)

The Impact: Massive. You’ll be supporting our lovely volunteers, shaping our green spaces, and making a real difference

On July 3rd Swill Odgers and Bobby Valentino from ‘The Men They Couldn’t Hang’ will be playing at our Trinity Rooms Community Hub.

This great night out in Stroud is a fundraiser for our Friday Youth Club providing a vital Safe space for young people.

We are delighted to have the fantastic Angela Jones (Wild Woman of the Wye) joining us for the Community Film Screening of Dirty Business coming up at our Trinity Rooms on Sunday June 7th (doors open from 4pm).

A special edit watch of this powerful drama that recently aired on CH4, thats based on true story and exploring the reality of sewage pollution and its impact on our coastlines. Followed by discussion and Q&A. This is your chance to learn what’s really happening beneath the surface — and how communities are fighting back.

HAVE YOU SAVED THE DATES?

We have two more Eco Repair Cafe’s at our Trinity Rooms Community Hub in Stroud before we take a summer break!

Promoting sustainability, saving money, reducing waste. Book slots in advance on our website for bringing along any broken items for repair.

Volunteers will be on hand to assist with various fixing of electronics, jewellery, household items, clothing & more.

You can also just come along and enjoy lunch, tea, coffee, cakes, at our pay by donations community café.

Join us at our Trinity Rooms Community Hub in Stroud on Saturday 6th June 2026 for a poetic evening journey in sound, song & stillness with Sound Of The Pine, Solskin and Yuliya.

Interested in finding out more about progressive ways to structure business, community organisations and clubs in a way that encourages inclusion, a diverse range of great ideas, and a flattened hierarchy?

Anyone is welcome to come along to one of our Trinity Rooms Community Hub Free Sociocracy training sessions! No prior knowledge is required and each session will give an overview of how it works alongside some insight into the running of our Trinity Rooms.

Remaining Dates are May 31st, September 18th, and November 29th, with all 2:30pm-4:30pm.

Visiting our Trinity Rooms Cafe today? Our new Friendship bench is ready to use.

If the meet and greet team or another of our lovely volunteers see someone sitting on it they’ll join for a chat.

It’s a nice way to 'break the ice' if visiting solo, or just a chance to get to know each other.

As usual we'll be open 9am-3pm (refreshments all day and lunch served 12:30pm-2pm). We also have a free digital advice drop in 11:30pm-1:30pm.

Plus our two Friday Youth Club Sessions afterwards too! (School Year 6-8 3:30pm-6pm and School Year 9-11 6:30pm-8:30pm).
