DOG SPOTTING AT VICTORIA PARK 🐶

Meet Axel!

Axel is a gorgeous young boy who has come all the way from Greece to Stretford. Despite the chilly and rainy climate, he seems to like it here. Who could blame him?

He’s a gentle soul who has made some good friends in the park in the few months he’s been in the neighbourhood.

A nice moment the other day was when he met little Rosie, another resident dog of the park and their owners clocked they had both come from the same amazing pet rescue Pennine Pen Animal Rescue in Oldham.

Back by popular demand, Stretford’s Secret Supper Club’s next get together is Saturday the 21st November.

For £20 you’ll enjoy melon salad, homemade beef or vegan stew and dumplings with crusty bread, and a selection of delicious desserts.

But there are only 40 tickets so you may want to keep it to you and your friends.

Get set for the Victoria Park Guardians halloween trail through the park, running from the 24th - 31st October. 🎃👻

We’re loving the support and enthusiasm so far and have had some questions about what it involves, so you’ll be seeing some videos from us over the next week explaining what the event is!

All you need is a smartphone and the courage to complete your quest.

Simply grab a ticket, collect a booklet from the cafe (9.30am - 5pm), scan the QR code and away you go. 🔎📱

You’ll be directed to an area of the park to solve a puzzle, with each completed challenge leading to the next, and a prize at the end for our little explorers. It takes about 90 minutes in total.

WHAT’S ON AT VICTORIA PARK IN OCTOBER? Part 2

How are we nearly halfway through October already?! The second half of this month is again jam packed full of community events for you all.

The biggest event on is the Guardians halloween trail. You’ll have seen lots of posts about that. Check them out for more info. It’s the first time we’ve done an interactive trail throughout the park before and we can’t wait for you to experience it 🗝️🗺️🧭

You’ve got the monthly CalmLensClub this Saturday, focusing on the smaller things we miss around us.

Corporate volunteer day is back in full force and as always you can get in touch with our email address to get involved 🪏

Not many people know about our Youth Council which meets regularly to help put the young people’s ideas at the forefront of our planning 🌍

Don’t forget to join our popular halloween spectacular on halloween which includes the popular parade, ghost train and giant monsters! 👹 👻

🍂 BEHIND THE ADVENTURE…
What you're seeing here started as an idea on paper.
Then our brilliant volunteers started turning it into something real. 💛
Victoria Park Guardians: The Lost Key isn't something we've simply bought and put in the park. It's being created here — by people giving their time, skills, ideas and a fair bit of determination to make something special for local families.
And this is just one small piece of what's being built behind the scenes.

📖 Challenges and booklets are being prepared
🍂 The adventure is taking shape
🐭 13 Guardians are getting ready
🔑 And somewhere amongst all of it… there's still a Key to find.
There are so many people quietly helping bring this idea to life, and over the next couple of weeks we'll show you a little more of what they've been working on.
