We’re excited to perform Karl Jenkins’ powerful and moving work The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace at Kidderminster Town Hall next Saturday.

Our singers have been working hard in rehearsal to bring this dramatic and emotional piece to life — from moments of quiet reflection to the full power of the chorus. It’s a work that combines texts from different cultures and traditions, delivering a universal message of peace that feels as relevant today as ever.

Our next concert, The Armed Man - a Mass for Peace on 21st March, is in aid of the Mayor of Kidderminster's fantastic chosen charities for this year.

The Mayor will be fundraising for:

💚 Kidderminster & District Youth Trust – helping empower and support young people in our community to reach their full potential.
🌿 Worcestershire Wildlife Trust – protecting and enhancing local wildlife and natural habitats across the county.
🥫 Kidderminster Foodbank – providing essential food and support for individuals and families in crisis.

Last night, alongside Busking For Charity we celebrated another brilliant year of music making and fundraising with our recipients for 2025 and chosen charities for 2026. Our next gig, Moonlight Sinatra, is in aid of Tough Enough To Care.

Tough Enough To Care focus on starting honest conversations about mental health in male-dominated spaces and breaking the stigma that stops so many from speaking up.

Founded in 2019 after their CEO, Stu, lost two friends to su***de, they now offer:
• Weekly peer support groups
• A free text support service
• Free mental health training for community groups & grassroots sports clubs

They believe support should never come with a price tag — all services are completely free.

🎤Meet our guest vocalist - Rich Hazlewood 🎤
Rich started his career onstage in 2010 after
graduating from one of the top London Drama
schools with a Masters in Acting/Singing. He
began several engagements in London and the home counties with Shakespeare, Musicals, and Theatre Education, touring much of the UK, Europe, and even China. In 2019, Rich moved back North to set up his own business as a Swing singer, a genre very close to his heart. He now tours his Swing Show around the UK at various Theatres and Events, particularly Vintage Airshows. Currently Rich has just finished a tour of the Cotswolds, and is about to embark on another tour around Cumbria. When Rich isn't on stage, he can be found pottering around the garden with his Fiancé, Cressida, and two children, Axel and Athena Dudley Borough Halls

🎶Meet Ed Malpass, who will be conducting our next spectacular big band musical offering - ‘Moonlight Sinatra’🎶

A busy professional freelance Trumpet player and Musical Director, Edward studied Trumpet
Performance at Birmingham Conservatoire and graduated with an honours degree in 1997.

He has played with many notable ensembles including the CBSO and during his career has
performed many times as a soloist in the UK and abroad.

As a musical director, Edward has worked with numerous societies including Worcester Operatic & Dramatic Society, Lollipop Youth Theatre, Pershore Operatic & Dramatic Society, The TAB Operatic Society, Kinver Light Operatic Society and is professional trainer for the NC Big Band.

He runs Worcestershire Winds Jazz & Wind ensembles and is also Director of Music at St Thomas’ Church Stourbridge. In his spare
time Edward can be found playing with his numerous classic cars, lorries, motorbikes and
tractors
