From its dramatic opening to its gloriously lyrical slow movement and exhilarating finale, this concerto is overflowing with emotion, soaring melodies and breathtaking virtuosity.

First performed in 1866, it has captivated audiences for generations and remains a firm favourite with violinists and music lovers alike.
