WE NEED YOUR HELP
We need some help from the Stourbridge community if possible⦠You may know a local farmer, maybe you are a local farmer.
Either way you should read the below β¬οΈ
We are looking for farmers to work with who are willing to let use produce compost on their land.
The compost we will be producing has been successfully trialled in other parts of the country, whereby farmers were able to completely remove all other inputs and replace them with compost extracts only, sprayed using current spray equipment.
We would require an area or areas of land that we can build bioreactors on (these are the width of a euro pallet) We also need to store biomass that would be used as feedstock for the compost, all the materials used are plant based and fully organic, the main input being wood chip.
The process takes 12 months to produce the finished product, and we would be happy to work with local farmers who wanted to trial this style of cultivation in return for access to land. Even if you arenβt interested in trialing this system but would be willing to allow us to utilise some land we would be extremely grateful.
We have been working with the Soil Ecology Lab based in Hook who ran the trial on compost extracts and have since been working to further the investigations into using compost as the main input for farmers. They are supported by Dr Elaine Ingham & the school of the Soil Food Web who work internationally implementing biological systems that remove the need for chemical fertiliser & pesticides in agriculture.
Utilising this system saves farmers huge amounts of expenses and also crops are organic by default when using this system, in our opinion they are in fact beyond organic!
