Our unique services at children’s hospitals provide specialised, free support and resources for young people (up to age 30), and parents dealing with cancer treatment-related hair loss.

Our FREE in hospital headwear packs provide comfort and care during hair loss. We are so grateful to our volunteer hand-craft team who beautifully see, pack and send out our caring parcels.

We’d like to offer a huge thank you to our fantastic Wig Bank Plus volunteers [pictured here are Katrina, Jane and Lori].

The Wig Bank Plus service (formally known as ‘Twice as Nice’) is run by our specially trained Cancer Hair Care volunteer hairdressers. The aim is to provide a wig free of charge to those in need. All wigs have been donated by others and then taken through a hygiene cleaning process ready for it’s new wearer.

From your initial contact to receiving a wig takes on average 3 weeks. Kindly note that we are not a wig supplier, this service relies upon donations. With this in mind, we have a limited number of wigs and styles to offer.

We’ve been running this project for 13 years and supplied thousands of wigs and headwear items to those in need (as well as helping the environment).

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we wanted to highlight some of the FREE services Cancer Hair Care offers.

Treatments for breast cancer (such as chemotherapy and hormone therapy) can often cause changes to your hair, including hair thinning; hair loss and other changes to your hair and scalp.

It can sometimes feel confusing to work out how various treatments may affect your hair care regime. Here at Cancer Hair Care, we have specially trained hairdressers to support you as well as lots of information on our website.

You can have a consultation over the phone or via email or perhaps you might like to join our online workshops.

We are experienced in guiding you from diagnosis, pre treatment, during treatments, post treatment and additionally for those who may have multiple hair loss experiences with ongoing treatments (such as secondary cancer).

The RCSG is a Harpenden-based support for any adults living with cancer.

Delighted to offer our expertise TODAY at the Shine Connect Conference Shine Cancer Support. Cancer Hair Care Specialists, Lorraine and Michele provided hair loss consultations, goody bags and lots of helpful hair care tips.

The Shine Cancer Support charity supports young people in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s who have been diagnosed with cancer.

A delightful day. Thanks to Shine Cancer Support for cultivating a fantastic day.
