The Southwick Players were formed in 1935 and perform at The Barn Theatre in Southwick Community Centre. With a mixture of comedy, drama, farce, musicals and pantomime the company has a show for everyone.

⭐️SPY Star of the Week⭐️

Holly awarded Star of the Week at SPY Junior session for her great pirate performance in our short play.

Holly always knows her lines and her moves and gives her all at rehearsals and in SPY sessions.

SPY runs weekly drama sessions on a Monday evening during school term time for 7- to 16-year-olds at Southwick Community Centre. Sessions are crafted to encourage confidence and to develop theatre skills through games and other drama based activities.

The Dresser by Ronald Harwood

Emily James in her debut performance with Southwick Players, plays Irene, young and ambitious and dreaming of a career in the theatre.

Based on author Ronald Harwoods’ own experience as Dresser to Sir Donald Wolfitt this poignant, heart-warming drama tells the story of an aging actor’s personal assistant who struggles to keep his charge’s life together.

15-18 July - 7.30pm - The Barn Theatre, Southwick - £12.

Well done me hearties!!

Ryan, Elly and Jessie, all awarded SPY Juniors stars of the week for their excellent work rehearsing for their pirate play to be performed in front of family and friends on Monday 15th June.

The Country Wife by William Wycherley - adapted by Steve Titchmarsh

Come to the show meeting/workshop tonight, 7.30pm, at Southwick Community Centre to hear director Steve Titchmarsh talk about his vision for this fast-paced irreverent comedy.

AUDITION’s will be held on Sunday 14th June, at 2pm in the Deall Room, at Southwick Community Centre.

The Country Wife comes to Southwick Players this October — a sharp, witty Restoration comedy full of intrigue, secrets and just the right amount of scandal, with an 80s soundtrack adding a fresh twist.
