🎉 Support Local Charities at Shirley Carnival 🎉

Heathview Rose Care Home have chosen to support two amazing charities — Breast Friends Solihull and Smiling Families Charity — on 11th July during the Shirley Carnival.

To help them raise lots of funds for these wonderful causes, they are looking for raffle prize donations.

Could you help by donating a prize?

Every contribution, big or small, will make a real difference and help support these fantastic charities.

If you’re able to help, please get in touch with Belisa she would be most grateful.

It was fantastic to bring people together for a welcoming Climate Information Drop-in this morning with SMBC’s Solihull Community Development Team, the Sustainability Team, and Act on Energy UK🌱

Residents and members of the local community had the opportunity to chat, ask questions, and learn more about practical ways to stay warm, save energy, and reduce costs at home 🔋🏡

We’re excited to introduce the NEW Solihull Community Development Team Volunteering Opportunities page - a new space dedicated to connecting people, strengthening local networks, and creating meaningful opportunities to give back.

This initiative brings together local residents, community groups, charities, and organisations across Solihull, all with a shared goal: to build a more connected and supportive community through volunteering.
Whether you’re looking to lend a hand, promote an opportunity, or simply connect with others making a difference, this group is here for you.

When sharing a volunteering role, we ask that you include key details such as:
• Organisation or group name
• Location (or whether the role is remote)
• Days, times, and duration
• Role description and tasks involved
• Any skills or qualities needed
• How to apply or who to contact
Providing clear information helps potential volunteers quickly understand what’s involved and feel confident about getting involved.
