📢 Important Notice

We're making some exciting improvements behind the scenes!

Please note that our Discover@20-21 exhibition will be closed from 17 to 26 June while we carry out essential maintenance works, including upgrades to our lighting and fire detection systems to enhance safety and improve your experience.

Our largest exhibition space will also be closed from 16 June as we prepare for the installation of our next major exhibition, Scunthorpe Steel – The Exhibition, opening on 11 July. We can't wait to share this fascinating new exhibition with you!

The good news is that we're still very much open. ☕🛍️ Our café and shop will continue to welcome visitors as usual, and from 20 June you can visit Make Now, Think Later! – Alexandra Reinhardt Memorial Awards 2024–25, showcasing the outstanding work of emerging creative talent.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we carry out these important improvements. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and look forward to welcoming you back to enjoy everything 20-21 has to offer this summer.

Come and celebrate the achievements of this inspiring group of young people, brought together through a shared love of art and a passion for raising awareness about the devastating effects of fast fashion on our environment and on the lives of garment workers around the world.

Throughout the project, the group explored themes connected to our current exhibition, ARTIST ROOMS Jenny Holzer and were inspired by Holzer’s bold statements and text-based artworks.

✨Teachers! Did you know that 20-21 Visual Arts Centre can create bespoke art workshops tailored to your school?

🌸Last week, we ran a bespoke Georgia O’Keeffe-inspired workshop, where the children produced some fantastic artwork.

Here’s what the teacher had to say:

⭐ “What did you like best about the workshop?”
“The way the children were taken on a journey. The use of resources was great, and the structuring of instructions was fantastic.”

⭐ “Was there anything that could be improved?”
“Nothing.”

We offer a wide range of workshops, all taking place in a working contemporary art gallery environment to truly inspire children and young people.
