On behalf of the management committee of the village hall, I would like to extend our thanks to all of you who have trusted our venue with your family events over the last few months. We have a lovely large space with a kitchen, which was commented on by the food hygiene inspector as being bigger than he sees in most pubs. What many of you may not realise is that we also have a large lawned back garden space which can also be utilised as a space during the summer months. Please do consider us when planning your family celebrations and other gatherings, at the end of this piece you will see a list of what our hiring rates are for both casual and regular bookings.

I have also received feedback from a number of the groups which use the hall. They state that they have got healthy numbers of people taking part in their activities; however, they do have room for a few more attendees. Details can be found in the Parish noticeboard next to the sweet shop and on the Village Hall Facebook group. As well as individual bookings, we do have availability for further regular hirers (concessional rate) - if you have an activity you would like to run at the village hall, either in the larger or smaller room, please do not hesitate to contact us.

I would also like to draw everyone’s attention to our extensive book exchange in the hall with lots of very good quality books, many of which have only recently been published. Feel free to take a book when you visit or drop off others you have read. We are more than happy for you to pop your books to another book swap location after you have read them, then all of us keep a nice fresh stock of books.
