Morning! We will be open this morning as usual. However, there's lots of road closures and floodwater around Scarborough, with more rain due later, so please take care out there if you're coming to join us 💚

The lovely people at the RSPCA have donated pet food to us to share for a long time. At the moment they are able to give us plenty of dog food, but no cat food at all. If anyone can help with a small donation it would be really appreciated. It all helps to stretch budgets for our lovely customers.
Thank you.

We're incredibly grateful to the lovely, generous people of Queen Street Methodist Central Hall who have donated their Harvest Festival collection to us. It will keep our storecupboard stocked up for quite a while.

How do you like your cherry tomatoes? Grilled, roasted in olive oil or just as they come? We have a lot to share this week, so come along on Saturday morning, bring a bag and take home some lovely fresh tomatoes and plenty of bread rolls to go with them.🍅🍅🍅🥖🥖

We currently have opportunities for volunteers on a Saturday morning (9-12ish) helping with set up and distributing food. If anyone could help at all? If you'd like more information please just drop us a message or email [email protected] and we can explain more 💚

We also need volunteers with transport for collecting food donations on Thursday daytime, Friday daytime and evenings, Saturday mornings, Sundays and there may be other collections during the week that become available at short notice

You don't have to do all the days or every week - if you can help at all just drop us a message and we can have a chat 💚

Another parsnip soup one - sounds lovely! What are you going to do with your parsnips, if you helped save some this morning?

This easy, creamy parsnip soup is made extra-filling with the addition of chunky croûtons. Start with the basic 4-ingredient recipe, and take it from there.

Something a little different - how about some parsnip crisps? 💚

Making your own vegetable crisps is easier than you think

If you picked up some of our parsnips mountain this morning you might be interested in a recipe or 2! Here's one for spicy roasted parsnip soup 💚
