Intergen-Trafford Are you over 50? Would you consider volunteering a couple of hours a week in one of our primary school partners in Trafford? Then get in touch.

We believe that younger and older people benefit greatly from interacting and learning from each other. At Intergen:
We create partnerships to benefit students, older people and teachers. We work with schools to build community links between all age groups. We encourage learning and well-being. We reduce ageist stereotyping. We promote "learning as fun" for everyone. If you are over 50 and are interested in joining our successful team of volunteers who enjoy giving something back to their communities by spending a few hours a week helping in classrooms, please get in touch. This could just be for you.

Ronan, a Trustee of Intergen-Trafford and a volunteer at Stamford Park Primary School is determined to prove to the children he reads with that age is no barrier to extreme physical achievement (definitely extreme!) and that he will gladly endure pain so that he can raise money to help us make a difference. URGENT. We have a special message from Firs Primary School in Sale West. “We would love to have some regular gardener volunteers to join our Eco team”. What could be nicer than to share your gardening skills with children? As the RHS says "Engaging a child in a gardening activity may cause them to express their feelings in a way they wouldn’t usually". Have you got a couple of hours a week to spare? Would you like to feel like Steve, one of our school volunteers? Helping in schools is one of the most gratifying “hobbies” you could have and Steve has been doing it for 19 years! We are recruiting for the new school year for many of our partner schools; in particular Heyes Lane, Broomwood & Stamford Park Primary schools.

We will be at Urmston Library on Wednesday 29th 1.30pm to 3.30pm with Trafford Community Volunteering.
