We create partnerships to benefit students, older people and teachers. We work with schools to build community links between all age groups. We encourage learning and well-being. We reduce ageist stereotyping. We promote "learning as fun" for everyone. If you are over 50 and are int

We are looking for new Trustees to help develop our strategy, support our growth and make a lasting impact. We have been going for 25 years, survived Covid and are now growing fast.
We are a tiny charity operating in Trafford only and do not expect nor need to recruit experienced Trustees, but rather people who cherish a sense of belonging to their community through participation and believe that the future of society depends on a close relationship between those preparing to set out in the world and those who have lived through some monumental times.
We are looking in particular for a Charity Secretary who can ensure that we are always compliant and can offer admin support and advice to fellow Trustees.
We are also looking for an energetic Trustee with the ability to lead and promote Intergen-Trafford's ethos. A background in leadership, marketing, education or business would be very appreciated, but not essential. More important is enthusiasm, imagination, commitment and total belief in the value of what we do. Trustees meet up to 4 times a year and would expect a commitment of no more than 5 hours a week on active involvement.

If you are interested, email us at [email protected] with details about yourself and what you feel you can offer by 25th April.

Oops. We are having a little hiccup with our application form online. If you didn't get a message saying "Your submission was successful. We will be in touch soon", then we did not receive it. Do send us a message if this happened to you. Thank you

We are delighted to welcome Urmston based Highfield Primary School to our list of partners from this April. They contacted us in the hope that we could provide them with volunteers to help children with reading. Our new coordinator for the area, Sue Gill is now busy looking to recruit. If you are over 50, with just a couple of hours a week to spare, why not contact us. Soon you might just realise that going in to help “makes your day” as one of our volunteers recently said to us. You will find lots of information on our website at www.intergen-trafford.org.uk

Victoria Park Junior School in Stretford. in particular, is keen to have more volunteers to join Intergen's one and only volunteer there to help with reading. If this could be you, do message us.
