It was good to meet up today with a company who supply some of our essential equipment we use everytime we go afloat. The guys from Future Safety Limited were more than happy to come to our station whilst they were over at Seaworks in Southampton to service and repair some of our helmets and to personally deliver some new replacements, along with our new communication equipment from IWCS - Iridium Waterproof Communication Systems. It's this type of service that we are very thankful for from our suppliers.

Just a little video as it National Volunteer Week. A few of our hard working men and woman who donate their, blood, sweat and tears to Ryde Inshore Rescue. Without them we wouldn't be here.❤️

With all Internet problems that are disrupting Ryde at the moment, we are only able to accept cash in our shop. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Once again a local business supporting a local charity. A huge thank you to Kev at Lock&Quay Locksmiths for sorting and supplying new keys for our launch vehicle. We are always very humbled and thankful for the support we receive from Island businesses and all individuals who donate to keep our lifeboats afloat. ❤️

We will bringing our lifeboats onto the beach today. We would love for you to come and have a look around the boats, meet some of the crew who will be happy to answer and questions you might have.
If operation allow Ryde Rescue 1 will also be launching around lunchtime.
Our shop is also open for refreshments and as the sun is out, an ice cream or two.
We look forward to seeing you, and as always we are recruiting new members.

A huge thank you to Dan @ LockFit Isle of Wight for coming out today and helping us get into our launch vehicle after we managed to lock the keys in the cab whilst we were out on a shout last night. Your good turn won't go unnoticed. As a charity we are truly thankful for time and kindness that you showed today. ❤️

Whether you’re curious about the boat, interested in volunteering, or just fancy saying hello, we’d love to see you there. Bring the family and come meet your local lifeboat crew!

We were on alert last night for the heavy rain, which has washed the top layer of sand away, but thanks to work that was done by Stella Developments last week we are still operational. This is an ongoing issue that we are suffering a lot more at the moment. Looking forward to a meeting with Council soon to discuss a more permanent solution.

We’re back on the slipway and back to recruiting!

Now that our slipway is usable again, Ryde Inshore Rescue is delighted to be actively recruiting new volunteers once more 🙌

We’re always on the lookout for new boat crew and shore crew, but right now we have a particular need for volunteers to help run our shop.

Shop volunteering details:
• Open 10am-4pm
• Ideally, volunteers would cover the whole day
• But we totally understand that life happens

Even if you can only offer a few hours now and again, please still get in touch and we’ll do our best to work around your availability.

Volunteering with us is a fantastic way to support your local lifesaving charity, meet great people, and make a real difference in the community.

Interested?
Please contact [email protected] for an application form.

If you can’t volunteer yourself, a share would be hugely appreciated, it really helps us spread the word

Work is now complete by Mike and the Stella Developments guys. Extra layer of sand bags have been layed by us to hopefully keep a bit of the predicted rain fall that is on the way away from the slipway. We are extremely thankful for all their time and effort and assistance today...
