☀️ ISLE OF WIGHT MARATHON 2026 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

What a day for the 70th Isle of Wight Marathon! 💙

Yesterday saw runners take on the beautiful but famously undulating roads of the Island, with glorious sunshine providing the perfect backdrop for 26.2 miles of stunning scenery, tough climbs and plenty of running memories. ☀️🌊

A huge congratulations to Chris Newnham, who took the overall victory in an impressive 2:29:36, just outside the course record. 🏆

The women’s race was won by Alice Robinson, who crossed the line in 3:25:16 — congratulations! 👏🏼🏆

The race, organised by Ryde Harriers, is one of the UK’s longest-running marathons, having been held continuously since 1957. This year’s milestone 70th men’s and 51st women’s edition made it an especially special one. 💫

From Cowes, through the beautiful west of the Island and back again, it’s a course that delivers everything — hills, views, sunshine, challenge and that incredible finish-line feeling. ❤️

A huge well done to every runner who took on the challenge yesterday, and to all the marshals, volunteers and organisers who made the day so special. 👏🏼

70 years of history. 26.2 miles of memories. One very beautiful Island. 💙
