The Vine Cafe & Community Space offers support to those looking for work through conversations, encouragement, building confidence as well as experience in serving customers, using a barista machine, making toasties and omelettes and general cafe management.

Marks & Spencer has confirmed plans to open a major new distribution centre in Lichfield, bringing up to 600 new jobs to our community!

This means more opportunities for local people and a real boost to our local economy.

It’s also a strong vote of confidence in Lichfield as a place to live, work and do business, helping to future-proof jobs.

I’ll be working closely with local partners to make sure residents benefit from these opportunities as the site prepares to open in 2027.

This introductory session will provide participants with an understanding of what to look for to safeguard adults from harm, how to recognise abuse, respond effectively and refer appropriately.

• An overview of the legislation relevant to adult safeguarding
• The risks associated with vulnerable adults and how to help lower these risks
• An explanation of 10 types of abuse
• Recognising signs and symptoms of different forms of abuse
• How to deal with a disclosure of abuse
• Referral and reporting procedures - the internal processes and the responsibility of local authorities Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
