With just 5 weeks to go until this year’s Ride we are keeping a close eye on the weather forecast and the ground conditions.
To ensure we look after our horses and riders the route may need to change at short notice and we may need to adjust the pace of the Ride. This means timings will be subject to change.
We will of course be taking advice from our Ride vet and horse welfare will always be paramount.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding - we will share further updates as soon as we can.

Last month the Chair of the Sheriff’s Ride Committee, Dr. Daryl Brown, gave a talk to the Three Spires Historic Vehicle Club in Hammerwich. The talk was all about the history of Lichfield becoming a County and how the Sheriff’s Ride evolved and became such an important tradition.

The talk was very well received and club members generously made a £100 donation to Ride funds, many thanks go to them!
