A local lady, who wanted to honour her beloved grandma's legacy, has kindly gifted us some wheelchairs.

Due to the nature of the people we support, we can't always advertise what we do. But we recently joined up with our friends at Maltby and Rother Valley Lions to assist Maltby Manor Academy to fund some much needed developments in their sensory rooms. This will help local children achieve better outcomes in life.

🎉 Worldwide Induction Day – Welcome
Sharon! 🎉

As part of Worldwide Induction Day, we’re delighted to introduce Sharon as the latest member of Bramley & Wickersley Lions. 🌍

Sharon first got involved when she volunteered with our Christmas sleigh last December.
“I’ve always looked forward to the sleigh coming round at Christmas,” she said. “After rattling a bucket, I realised there must be other ways I could help.”

A busy mum of two, Sharon was looking for something she could do for herself as her teenage boys became more independent—and Lions turned out to be the perfect fit. 💛

Lions is all about service, community and making a real difference, and Sharon has already jumped in, using her skills in the printing industry to help us better promote our work locally. “I never knew all the good stuff that goes on in the background,” she added.

Worldwide Induction Day reminds us that the more we grow, the more we can give. Welcoming new members like Sharon helps us strengthen our impact and reach even more people in need.

📣 Well done and good luck to Jacob in Year 11, who has been named a Northern District Finalist in the Lions Young Ambassador Award Competition 2026!

Jacob was first recognised by the Bramley and Wickersley Lions Club, who nominated him to take part in the Northern District stage of the competition. He will now attend a weekend event in Dudley this half term for the final, representing the Northern District area – from Sheffield all the way to the Shetland Islands.
