The playgroup children have returned after the long summer break. We have some new children joining us too. They have enjoyed exploring the setting and all the activities we have on offer.
Young children learn best through hands on experiences and exploration. Its not the end result that matters but the learning that takes place whilst enjoying the activity

Message for Playgorup parents
We hope you’ve all had a lovely break. We’re looking forward to welcoming all children back and easpiaclly our new starters
Please ensure your child brings the following items:
πŸŽ’ A backpack
πŸ‘• A full set of spare clothes and a coat or jacket as we play outside daily.
Backpacks should be taken home daily as we need the space for our afteschool school club children's coats
Please make sure ALL items are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
🍎 Food & Drinks
To help us keep everyone safe, children must not bring any food or drinks into nursery, as we have children who attend with food allergies.
During their sessions we will provide all the snacks and drinks they need
🧸 Toys from Home
Please do not allow children to bring toys from home into nursery. Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for any toys that are lost or damaged.

Is your child worried about using the toilet at school? Whether they're getting ready to start or have already begun their school journey, we have some tips to help:

βœ… Let the school know about your child's needs early and speak with their teacher or a member of the school support team. Show them the School toilets information on our website and if appropriate, complete an Individual Healthcare Plan like the one on our website and look at our Intimate Care Policy.
βœ… Know the school's policies. If your child uses protective underwear or a reminder watch, check what support and provisions are available.
βœ… Ask the school how you can connect with local support services, such as your school nursing team and parent/carer forums.
βœ… Practise using toilets away from home so different flushes, cubicles, and hand dryers feel less intimidating.
βœ… Choose easy-to-manage clothing. Elasticated waistbands and long socks are much easier than tricky buttons, zips, and tights. We have a range of protective underwear, vibrating watches and items such as TomTags and other visual aids in the ERIC shop.
βœ… Get into a positive toilet routine at home, including regular toilet visits, using the toilet 20/30 minutes after eating breakfast, lunch and dinner and plenty of fluids,
βœ… Check for constipation. It's very common in children and can have a big impact on toileting.
