We need to talk.

Because everywhere we go, we keep heading the same question - “ok brilliant, but what actually IS Rotherham Day?”

So we’re fixing that. Right here. Right now. Swipe through 👉

Rotherham Day is on the 18th September 2026 and it’s for every single person in this town. Not just businesses, not just schools, not just people who see our posts. Every. Single. Person.

There’s no stage, no ticket, it’s the whole town, all at once, doing something, anything to show pride in the place we call ours.

Wear red, bake something, put a sign up in your window. Get your school involved, do a deal for anyone in red. Whatever feels right for you - it counts.

Thats the whole point. One town. One day. Your way. 🔴

Rotherham Day is coming - 18th September 2026 - and we’re building a team of incredible people to help spread the word and make it the biggest celebration this town has ever seen.

We’re looking for passionate, proud Rotherham people to become official Rotherham Day Ambassadors. Whether you’re a business owner, community figure, or just someone who loves this town - We want YOU.

As an Ambassador, you’ll:
* Represent Rotherham Day in your community
* Help spread the word and get people involved
* Hand out and place posters, leaflets, flyers, window badges all supplied by us
* Be a proud, official face of Rotherham Day 2026

We’re not just looking for reach, we’re looking for people who genuinely believe in Rotherham and want to shout about it. If that’s you, we’d love to have you onboard.

September 18th will be Rotherham Day and we’ve been to an organising meeting at the New York Stadium

Do you have an idea that our spaces at St James can be used to celebrate all that is good and brilliant about our town?

Our parish is home to so much that is good and noteworthy from the Bailey Bridge in Eastwood to the Hospice, from Yorkshire’s first premiership rugby team to Rotherham’s first council homes, from memorials to the world’s first black professional footballer to Victoria Cross winners.
