This morning, five of our Dalgety Bay Scouts - two still only aged 11 - caught the bus by themselves from Dunfermline to Aviemore. From there they hiked to Rothiemurchus and set themselves up in camp. Not done with that, and with a glorious day on their hands, they asked for more. So off to An Lochan Uaine they went (supervised)… around 17km hiked and adventure memories to set themselves up for a lifetime of more.

It was a great privilege to be present for the investiture of Martin Rogers by the Lord-Lieutenant of Fife on behalf of His Majesty The King as a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE). Martin is a long-time member of The Scout Association, notably as Cub Scout Team Leader at 13th Fife (Rosyth Methodist) Scout Group for more than 60 years, making the church a perfect location for the investiture. Martin was joined by over 80 friends and family for the occasion.

This weekend, Phoenix Explorers undertook their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Expedition in Glen Lyon camping at Scout Adventures Meggernie after many months of planning.

The Explorers made great decisions, acknowledging hazards, making the right choices and adjusting their route so that they still fulfilled the requirements, whilst walking through an ever changing weather climate.

Lots of learning around teamwork along with pushing themselves to complete the Expedition.

Well done to every single Explorer, you should all be proud of your achievement.

🥌✨ Kelty Cubs Try Curling! ✨🥌

Tonight the Cubs from Kelty tried their hand at curling, inspired by the incredible performances of the Olympians at the Winter Olympics🌟

There were some great shots, plenty of concentration, lots of laughs and fantastic team spirit on display. We are so proud of them all for stepping out of their comfort zones and trying something new.

A huge thank you to Curl Kirkcaldy for welcoming us and giving the Cubs such a brilliant experience on the ice — we really appreciate the opportunity 💙

Who knows… maybe we’ve got a future Olympian in Kelty Cubs! 🏅 Scottish Curling

Our Cowdenbeath Squirrels had lots of fun learning about Burns Night. As well as trying haggis and Scotland's favourite soft drink, they also did lots of Scottish themed activities. If you'd like your 4 or 5 year old to start their Scouting journey as a Squirrel, get in touch. We currently have spaces in Rosyth and Inverkeithing.
