🏠 Changes to Scottish Housing Law

Several changes to Scottish Housing Law came into force on 1 August 2026, with further changes due from 6 October 2026.

The changes cover several important areas, including:

🔹 Greater protections and support for people affected by domestic abuse
🔹 Changes to succession rights
🔹 Changes to how rent increase notices can be issued
🔹 New requirements for landlords when dealing with damp and mould

For most tenants, there is nothing you need to do just now.

📩 You should have received either a letter or email from us explaining the changes in more detail and what they may mean for your tenancy.

🥇 Garden Competition – First place 🌺

A huge congratulations to Elizabeth Ann from Dalgety Bay, who has been crowned the winner of this year's Fife Housing Group Garden Competition! 🌿🏆

The winning garden was full of beautiful plants and seating areas, creating a mini oasis. Our judges were blown away by the work put into it.

Elizabeth Ann's stunning garden wowed us and earned her first place along with a £100 Dobbies gift voucher.

Thank you to everyone who entered this year's competition. We loved seeing the amazing gardens and the pride tenants take in creating welcoming outdoor spaces.

🥈 Garden Competition – Second place! 🌷

Congratulations to Karen from Kirkcaldy, who has been awarded second place in this year's Fife Housing Group Garden Competition! 🌼

Karen, pictured with her black Labrador Grace, earned a £75 Dobbies gift voucher after her fantastic garden stood out due to the love and care put into it and the lovely-smelling lavender.

A big well done to Karen and thank you to everyone who took part. Your gardens have made our communities even brighter this summer. 🌻
