📸 Competition winner announcement 📸

Congratulations to Brian, winner of our Seasonal Snaps competition with this beautiful photo of his assistance dog, Frida, enjoying some time by the lake.

Brian kindly chose to donate his £25 prize to BRAVEHOUND, a charity that provides assistance dogs to military veterans across Scotland. Their dogs offer companionship, confidence and support, helping veterans live fuller and more independent lives.

A huge thank you to Brian for his generosity and to everyone who took part in this season's competition. We loved seeing all your fantastic photos.

🐶 Speaking about the difference Frida has made, Brian said: "Frida was a breath of fresh air coming into my life. We attend everything together, we are a team and we have each other's backs. She has changed my life for the good. I see a future now, I feel safe with Frida and I have full confidence in her. Our bond is unbreakable."

🐭 Pest prevention reminder

We’ve recently seen an increase in reports of pests, including mice, rats and wasps.

As set out in the Tenant Handbook, pest control inside your home is usually the tenant’s responsibility unless the infestation is within the structure of a block of flats, such as the attic or external walls.

A few simple ways to help prevent pests:
🗑️ Don’t leave bin bags outside
🐦 Avoid bird feeders near your property
🐶 Store pet food in sealed containers or high cupboards
🧼 Keep food areas clean and tidy

For advice or treatment, contact Fife Council Pest Control on 03451 55 00 22 or use a private pest control company.

Once treatment is complete, let us know and we can arrange to seal any entry points into your home.

Jasper and Lexie stole the show at today's Rosyth drop-in session 🐶❤️

A huge thank you to Canine Concern Scotland Trust (also known as Therapet) for bringing these wonderful therapy dogs along to meet our tenants at today's Soup and a Natter event.

There were plenty of smiles, chats and tail wags as Jasper and Lexie spent time with tenants, helping to bring people together.

We're grateful to Therapet and their volunteers for supporting wellbeing in our communities and helping tackle loneliness through the power of animal companionship.

Our next Rosyth drop-in session will be held on the first Wednesday of next month from 1pm to 2pm at Rosyth Parish Church. Whether you'd like information on local groups and services, a bowl of soup or simply some company and a chat, you'll be very welcome.

🐾 We hope to see you there!

🚨 Don’t wait all weekend to call about an emergency repair

If you have an emergency repair outside office hours, call our usual office number and our out-of-hours team will arrange help if needed.

Examples of emergency repairs include:
🔑 An external door that won’t lock or open
💧 A serious leak coming through a ceiling
⚡ A total loss of electricity

Delaying emergency repairs could cause further damage to your home and extra stress for you and your family.

If you’re unsure whether it’s an emergency, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.

We were delighted to take part in Balwearie High School’s Industry Day in Kirkcaldy this week 👏

Our colleagues delivered interactive sessions with S3 pupils, exploring careers within Fife Housing Group, challenging myths around social housing and discussing homelessness in Fife.

Pupils also worked through real-life housing scenarios, encouraging thoughtful discussions around the challenges people can face and the support available.

It was fantastic to see so many engaged young people taking part and asking brilliant questions throughout the day.

At Fife Housing Group, we’re passionate about supporting young people across Fife and look forward to taking part in more industry days and career workshops in the future 💙

📺 Check your home for unused TV Licence Savings Stamps

Do you still have old TV Licence Savings Stamps at home?

These stamps were often used by people who paid weekly using paper stamps and may still be hidden away in drawers, folders or storage boxes.

Although the scheme closed years ago, refunds can still be claimed until 31 December 2026.

Please check old paperwork and encourage family, friends and neighbours to do the same so nobody misses out on money they could claim back.

Refunds are paid by cheque and claiming a refund will not affect your current TV Licence or payment plan.

It's and we need you!💻🌍

Accessibility matters because everyone should be able to access information and services in a way that works for them.

We’re asking tenants to help shape how we communicate by sharing feedback on our website, letters and leaflets.

Whether you have experience of visual, hearing, motor or cognitive impairments, dyslexia, ADHD, autism or other communication barriers, your feedback could help us improve accessibility for everyone.
