The Cookie Jar Foundation Christopher's legacy will live on helping others, just as he did in life. thecookiejarfoundation.co.uk

The work the Cookie Jar carries out represents the personality of our beloved son, brother and friend Christopher Coutts. Christopher was taken from us at the age of 19 after a valiant fight with Hodgkinโ€™s Lymphoma cancer. Christopher acted as an inspiration to all who knew him; not only with his fight against cancer but with other mental and learning disabilities he faced in his day-to-day life.

The role of the Cookie Jar is to continue Christopherโ€™s legacy and to help provide the necessary tools to those who are in need.

Another incredible fundraiser completed in memory of our Christopher ๐Ÿช

๐ŸŒˆ Christopher was a real petrol head, so this challenge feels especially close to our hearts. ๐Ÿš—

Based in Dunfermline, this amazing supporter, Brian Maguire, long with friends and customers, took part in a โ€œBanger Runโ€ purchasing cars for under ยฃ500 before setting off on an epic journey from Central Scotland to the Isle of Skye, through the Highlands, Inverness and all the way back home.

When choosing a charity to support, they told us they immediately felt a connection after learning that โ€œCookieโ€ shared the same love of cars and motoring that brought all of them together on this adventure.

We are so grateful that they chose to support our charity and help keep Christopherโ€™s memory alive in such a meaningful and fitting way.

Thank you for your kindness, support and for taking Christopher with you on your journey. ๐Ÿ’š

A huge congratulations to Taylor for completing the ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธEdinburgh Marathon in incredibly tough conditions on Sunday! ๐Ÿ…โ˜€๏ธ

Despite the heat and a foot issue along the way, Taylor pushed through and crossed the finish line in an amazing 4 hours and 14 minutes โ€” an incredible achievement and testament to his determination.

In Taylorโ€™s own words:
โ€œ The main thing is I enjoyed it from start to finish and we smashed the donations target.โ€

You can still donate to Taylor's just giving page - just follow this link, https://www.justgiving.com/page/taylor-steele-1

๐ŸŒˆ Taylor attended school with our son Christopher, whose memory the Cookie Jar Foundation was set up in. As a family, it means so much to us to see Christopherโ€™s friends continuing to keep his memory alive through incredible challenges like this and by supporting the charity in such a meaningful way.๐Ÿช

We are beyond grateful to Taylor for choosing to run on behalf of the Cookie Jar Foundation and for helping raise vital funds and awareness for our cause.

Thank you Taylor โ€” we are so proud of you and deeply touched by your support. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Our speaker tonight was Debbie Coutts from the Cookie Jar Foundation. She told us her fascinating story about the difference they have made providing vein finders to wards and hospitals. Such an inspirational speaker.

We are absolutely delighted to share that we have placed our very first vein finder into a GP surgery!

Last Wednesday , we officially handed over a vein finder (our 37th) to Inverkeithing Medical Group. Although the presentation took place at their Dalgety Bay branch, the device will be based in Inverkeithing at the main surgery, where it will be available for patients who struggle with blood tests and needle procedures.

Our ethos has always been simple: where the money is raised is where the money is spent. So it feels incredibly special to see funds raised by Dalgety Bay Business Network Group now supporting patients at our local doctorโ€™s surgery โ€” the very practice our family has used for years.

Knowing this equipment will help make procedures a little easier and less stressful for patients means the world to us.

Thank you, as always, for continuing to support The Cookie Jar Foundation and helping us keep Christopherโ€™s memory making a difference every single day ๐Ÿ’š

The staff from the Children & Young Persons Ward at the Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, recently welcomed the winners of this yearโ€™s YPI Scotland from St Columbaโ€™s High School, Dunfermline, as they arrived to hand over a replacement Vein Sight supplied by Ideal Medical Solutions .

This marks our 36th Vein Finder donation ๐Ÿ’š

The donation was made possible thanks to the girlsโ€™ incredible hard work in choosing our charity, raising awareness, and ultimately winning the ยฃ3,000 YPI Scotland prize for us.

We would also like to give special thanks to Marco Ho โ€” one of Christopherโ€™s school friends โ€” who is currently facing his own battle with cancer. Marcoโ€™s friends organised a fundraiser to support him through his treatment, and in an incredibly selfless gesture, Marco chose to donate part of those funds towards this Vein Finder to help others.

Because of kindness like this, Christopherโ€™s legacy continues to help young patients every single day. ๐ŸŒˆ

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone involved ๐Ÿฅฐ

Huge congratulations to the girls at St Columbaโ€™s High School, who chose us their nominated charity for their YPI Scotland project earlier this year and went on to win ๐Ÿ† ยฃ3,000! Weโ€™re all delighted at ๐Ÿช Cookie HQ and look forward accompanying you when you hand over a vein finder to your local hospital.

Thank you for all your hard work and support ๐Ÿ’š

Such a hard call today for the judges in the St Columbaโ€™s High School YPI final in Dunfermline today.

After lots of deliberation it was decided the team representing The Cookie Jar Foundation hit all the success criteria and were awarded worthy winners, well done team.
