Do connect with GRT Advisers - what a great way of opening up conversation and learning with our CYP
As part of Gypsy Roma Traveller (GRT) History Month, Andrew Hill, one of two GRT Advisers in the Diocese of Rochester, was pleased to join Fr Edward Barlow and Kate Little, at St Johns Bexley's Sunday School
In a session exploring the theme of, ‘What travels with you’, the children helped decorate the wagon with their ideas, offering a joyful reminder of the stories, memories and treasures we carry together.
The GRT Advisers aim to build trust, understanding and dignity between families and the Church, ensuring that pastoral care, worship and key life events are offered in ways that respect culture, faith and family life.
They are keen to help clergy and parishes engage confidently with communities who are often deeply Christian yet historically under-served, while also challenging prejudice and supporting safeguarding practice through culturally informed guidance.
