Rufus Woods

Rufus Woods Community woodland planted in 2021 to mark 950 years of Richmond Castle, North Yorkshire.

The project is led by a team of four local business people - Steve Biggs of Just The Job, Tim Crawshaw of Urban Design, Jo Foster of Kiss The Moon and Phil Upton of Purple Creative. They have been working with local landscape architect, Alistair Baldwin over the past year to make the initiative happen. Landowners, Lord Ronaldshay and Michael Sunley have given their permission to use their adjoinin

g pieces of land for planting and access. The trustees of outdoor social enterprise, Just the Job oversee the project and the Just the Job team, led by Steve Biggs control the day-to-day management of the woodland.
