Beautiful. 🙏🏾

🕊️ The Homeless Jesus outside St Mary's Roman Catholic Cathedral in Edinburgh is more than a sculpture. It's an invitation to pause and reflect.

Created by Canadian sculptor Timothy Schmalz, the bronze artwork depicts Jesus sleeping on a park bench, with only the wounds on His feet revealing His identity. Inspired by Matthew 25:40 — "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me" — it reminds us to recognise Christ in those who are homeless, hungry, and often overlooked.

A space is intentionally left on the bench, inviting visitors to sit beside the figure, pray, reflect, and remember that even the smallest act of kindness can make a difference.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 A powerful work of public art that speaks to compassion, dignity, and hope.
