πŸ† 2387 Pudsey Squadron Triumphs at Inter-Wing Athletics! πŸ†

A huge congratulations to all the cadets of 2387 Pudsey Squadron for an outstanding performance at this year’s Inter-Wing Athletics competition, where we proudly finished in 1st place overall! πŸ₯‡

Our squadron members showed incredible determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the day, with many cadets achieving 1st place finishes in their individual events. Even more impressively, several of our athletes have now been selected to represent the Wing at the next level of competition.

This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of all our cadets and staff involved. We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part and represented the squadron so brilliantly.

Well done, Pudsey! πŸ’™πŸ‘

We’re very proud of the effort the cadets put into this weekend’s DofE canoe training. The cadets practised carrying their full kit in their canoe and learnt how to safely portage around the locks. Plenty of wildlife was seen along the way. πŸ›Άβ›ΊοΈπŸ¦’

A fantastic achievement to celebrate!

A huge congratulations to Cpl Jardine and Cdt Sykes for their outstanding performance representing both 2387 (Pudsey) Squadron and South and West Yorkshire Wing in the Inter-Wing 5-a-side football competition.

Competing in the intermediate age group both cadets showed exceptional skill and determination taking on strong opposition throughout the tournament. They gave a brilliant account of themselves and should be incredibly proud of their efforts. Their teamwork, commitment and positive attitude both on and off the pitch truly reflected the values of the Squadron.

Over the 3 categories, South and West Yorkshire Wing placed 2nd overall and were only 1 point off 1st place! To be a part of the team that placed 2nd out of 6 wings is a great accomplishment and something to be proud of. They are a credit to the Squadron and an excellent example to other cadets.

We look forward to seeing what they achieve next!

Well done both.

This month, Cadets from 2387 (Pudsey) Squadron and 168 City of Leeds Squadron ATC have been hard at work honing their skills on the air rifle range at 2387.

From refining marksmanship fundamentals to building confidence and consistency on the firing point, every session has been focused and purposeful.

Cadets are taught weapon handling skills as part of a structured programme of supervised training that emphasises safe and responsible use.

All of this training is in preparation for the South & West Yorkshire Wing Annual Air Rifle Competition β€” and the standard being shown already is outstanding.

Best of luck to all cadets competing β€” we look forward to seeing the results of your hard work on the range! 🎯

Fieldcraft Training – 2387 (Pudsey) Squadron RAF Air Cadets

Last Thursday night, cadets from 2387 (Pudsey) Squadron took part in a practical fieldcraft training session, developing important skills used when operating in the field.
Cadets learned how to construct two-person shelters using basha sheets, practising and problem-solving to create effective shelter's.They also gained experience in feeding in the field, preparing and using ration packs, an essential part of fieldcraft and self-sufficiency when operating away from normal facilities.
Fieldcraft training helps cadets develop resilience, leadership, teamwork and practical outdoor skills, giving them a real taste of operating in a field environment.
It was fantastic to see cadets fully engaged and making the most of the opportunity to build their confidence and skills.

Well done to everyone involved.
