We are a women’s voluntary organisation with women from all walks of life. We all have a common aim – and that is to make a difference. We want to inspire.

Members of SI Preston are a friendly group of women who form this voluntary organisation. We want to transform. We want to help. The Club meets twice a month on the first Wednesday of the month when we have a business meeting and again on the third Wednesday of the month when we have a social meeting . We don’t meet in August as it’s our summer break. The Business meeting deals with administrative issues together with the development and implementation of our service and charity giving programmes. At the Social meeting we have speakers on varied topics and during the Summer we usually include a number of outings to places of interest finishing with a meal at a local hostelry. Currently there are 20 members – we would LOVE to increase that number this year. Are you interested in joining us ? You must be as you are reading this. Don’t be shy. Don’t procrastinate. Come along to our next meeting. We will welcome you with open arms. Come on – join SI Preston and help us make a difference.

🧶💜 Reclaim The Night 2026 💜🧶

Every woman and girl deserves to feel safe. Safe walking home. Safe in her community. Safe living her life free from harassment, intimidation and abuse.

That's why we're proud that Hope Prevails Preston is joining partners from across Lancashire for this year’s Reclaim The Night March.

On 24th November, we'll come together to stand in solidarity, raise our voices, and send a clear message: violence against women and girls has no place in our communities.

This is a peaceful, family-friendly event and everyone is welcome. Whether you walk the whole route, join us at the social afterwards, or simply come along to show your support, your presence matters.

Real change happens when communities stand together, and together we can help create a future where women and girls can live free from fear.

📍 Meet: Ashbridge-on-Ribble Nursery, South Ribble
🕠 Gather from 5:45pm | March begins at 6pm
🏁 Finish: Crossgate Church, Preston (or join us there from 6:30pm)
📅 24th November 2026

We'd love to see as many people there as possible. Let's reclaim our streets, reclaim our voices, and reclaim the night 💪

We had a great time at Coppull library this afternoon, as part of their fun palace. We gave away 75+ books to new homes where they'll be read and appreciated.

Well, we've started to receive nominations and they are all truly fantastic. We know there are some sensational, awesome women out there just getting on with their lives not realising how much difference they make to other people. And they'd probably say 'It's nothing. Don't be daft. I don't deserve an award.'
We beg to differ. O yes you do 🤩
So, please share, share and share this post some more.
