Soroptimist International Preston We are a women’s voluntary organisation with women from all walks of life. We all have a common aim – and that is to make a difference. We want to inspire.

Members of SI Preston are a friendly group of women who form this voluntary organisation. We want to transform. We want to help. The Club meets twice a month on the first Wednesday of the month when we have a business meeting and again on the third Wednesday of the month when we have a social meeting . We don’t meet in August as it’s our summer break. The Business meeting deals with administrativ

e issues together with the development and implementation of our service and charity giving programmes. At the Social meeting we have speakers on varied topics and during the Summer we usually include a number of outings to places of interest finishing with a meal at a local hostelry. Currently there are 20 members – we would LOVE to increase that number this year. Are you interested in joining us ? You must be as you are reading this. Don’t be shy. Don’t procrastinate. We want to hear from you 🩵

We're on a mission to better understand the needs of women living in our community and your experiences, thoughts and ideas are at the heart of that.

We have put together a short survey to gather feedback that will directly inform and shape the services available to women across Preston and South Ribble. Whether you have used Lancashire Women services before or not, your voice matters and we want to hear it.

Clare and her colleague, Angela support families who often need help and the centre doesn’t get funding from anyone. So our members are - as ever - really delighted to be able to help.

As you can see, we had a get together this afternoon. It was a fundraising event for Hope Prevails Preston
Members of Rossendale Soroptimists,Garstang Soroptimists,Lancashire Women,Preston & South Ribble Ladies Circle joined friends and our club members for a light lunch Hurst Grange Coffee House and Cafe in Penwortham.
Lots of chat and laughter - along with the obligatory raffle made for a great afternoon.
The food was delicious- cake portions were verging on humongous 😄 and staff at the cafe were friendly and welcoming. We’ll definitely go back there.
Putting cake portions aside - and importantly- we raised over £220 for Hope Prevails which will be put to excellent use supporting vulnerable women and girls.
