Preston Swing Lindy Hop Community

Preston Swing Lindy Hop Community Preston Swing is a group of friendly people who meet Wednesdays 7 - 9 to practice Lindy Hop. We meet on Wednesday evenings between 7pm and 9pm.

Everyone is welcome to join us. It may be that you have some experience with a different style of dance or you may be a complete new recruit to the world of dance. Whatever your background, you'll find a warm welcome. Lindy Hop is a fun, informal African-American dance beginning in 1930s America and continuing to this day. It arrived in the UK during the second world war. There are some simple ste

ps and basic principles which make the dance work, but it allows for lots of creativity and playfulness too.

Wear flat shoes and bring along a drink or water bottle.

Because of the forecast heat on Wednesday we have decided to cancel the session. The room is beautiful but does get very hot quickly when we are dancing. Keep your fingers crossed for next week.
