Thank you to Angela Rotherham who, via her home-fragrance business Sophia’s Scents , has kindly donated a number of special baby feet-shaped scented wax melts, which will be included in the memory boxes that are given to families who have sadly gone through baby loss here at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust 🙏👣

Angela and her partner Ant have supported us in a number of ways following the loss of their baby daughter Sophia, in whose name they set up the business with its range of hand-crafted scented candles, wax melts, soaps, home fragrances and bath crystals created by Angela. All profits raised through Sophia's Scents goes to support baby loss charities.

Thank you so much, Angela, for the continued support of Baby Beat - the kind donation of melts for the memory boxes is a lovely gesture, and will be hugely appreciated by families at such a difficult time 🧡

This week is national volunteers week - a time to acknowledge the difference that the kindness, hard work and dedication of volunteers makes. So we'd like to take a minute to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our wonderful Baby Beat volunteers! 🥰🙌

🙏 Our fantastic team of shop volunteers here on the Sharoe Green Unit at Royal Preston Hospital, and our volunteers who help us out and about at events and in the community, all make SUCH a difference. We really wouldn't be able to do what we do, supporting crucial projects to make a difference for the babies, mums, and mums-to-be cared for on our maternity, neonatal and gynae units, without all of your support.

Thank you so much to all of you - we appreciate everything you do for us! 🧡

🤗 We'd also like to say a big well done to Martin Macklin, who also ran for us in the Great Manchester Run last weekend, but went the extra mile (or few) and completed the half marathon distance - and succeeded in raising a wonderful £1,155!

Thank you SO much for choosing to support Baby Beat with your challenge, Martin - the funds will help to make a real difference for the very youngest patients and their families here at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust 👏🧡

It's been almost a week since the fantastic Great Manchester Run and we've loved seeing all of our runners photos (and funds!) making their way to us 🥰🥇🤩

We had an amazing 13 runners take on the popular 10k run through Manchester's streets for us last weekend, raising just over £6,000 to date in support of us, for the benefit of the babies, mums, and mums-to-be cared for here at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

So, we'd like to give a huge well done to Rosie, Ben, Jack, Bethany, Michelle, Chris, Keely, Alastair, Hilary, Victoria, Danielle, Jacob and Vicky 🙌 We hugely appreciate you all lacing up for us and helping to make a difference for local families, when they need it the most - thank you! 🙏🧡

We'd like to give huge thank you to Broughton High Year 7 students Bonnie Howard and Holly Flint, who responded to a challenge from the school to their year group to fundraise for a good cause, and raised a fantastic amount for us! 🧡👏

Bonnie challenged herself to run continuous laps, for a whole hour, around The Salford Peninsula Football Stadium, raising a fab £1280, while Holly cycled three laps of Preston's Guild Wheel to raise a wonderful £823!

Well done to both of you and thank you so much for choosing to support us through your challenges - the money will help to fund life-changing, innovative projects for the benefit of the babies, mums, and mums-to-be cared for here at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust 🥰

We’re delighted to be one of the chosen charities for this year’s City Of Preston road races on August 9th, alongside our friends at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Charity and Rosemere Cancer Foundation! Do you fancy lacing your trainers up for us? 🏃‍♀️👏🧡

With both 5 and 10 mile options on offer, this fast, flat route starts and finishes at Hutton Village Hall. Whether you're chasing a new PB or looking for the perfect Great North Run training run - this is a fantastic event to be part of!

We are offering our charity places in the run free of charge – we simply ask our supporters to raise a minimum of £20 to help us continue to support the babies, mums, and mums-to-be cared for in our hospitals.

To sign up, please just email our Fundraiser Lucy👉 [email protected] 🥰

Thanks so much to Tropic Skincare ambassador Tracy Hodgkinson for all of your continued support of Baby Beat! 🥰

Tracy comes in once a month with her stall of Tropic treats, from which she regularly supports us with raffle and tombola prizes. She is currently running a squares competition to win a £125 Tropic voucher, with funds coming to us!

Please email us at [email protected] if you would like a square - they're £5 each. Or you can donate through our online donation link - https://babybeat.enthuse.com/donate #!/ - and just put the reference Tropic to enter.

Or, if you fancy having a browse of her stall or entering her competition in person, Tracy will be here on the Sharoe Green Unit on Tuesday 26th May - she'd love it if you stopped by! 🤗🧡

🤗 Thanks so much to the lovely ladies at the Penwortham Townswomen's Guild for inviting our fundraising manager Joanna to attend a meeting earlier this week, to spread the word about the work we do for the benefit of local babies, mums, and mums-to-be.

Group members Judith Nuttall (also one of our regular Baby Beat shop volunteers!) and Eileen Pope very kindly handed over a £60 donation in thanks for her attendance.

Thank you for your support! 🙌🧡
