📣📣📣 PORTREE MEN'S SHED MEETING

The Scottish Men's Shed Association are holding a meeting on Tuesday the 15th of September to gauge interest in a Men's Shed in Portree. The Trust has been involved in discussions about a Men's Shed previously and we think this would be a fantastic addition to the area.

Everyone welcome.

Please help get the word out by sharing the information with anyone who you think might be interested.

We have digital and hard copies of the poster at the office. If anyone would like one to put up in their business or place of work send us a message.

Edit: I think we are up to capacity for the moment. PBCT are ordering their annual poppy wreath from the Lady Haig Poppy Factory in Edinburgh. As the delivery charges have gone up considerably (over £29 for a 20" wreath via DPD) we are having ours collected by car on Friday 4 September. There would be room for around 10 to 12 wreaths in the car if other local organisations wanted to order theirs for the same time. Let me know if you would like yours collected with ours by letting us know your order number and let the factory know in the special instructions. Email:[email protected]

Now that the last of the prizes have been collected we'd like to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone who participated in the Trusts Big Community Raffle this year at the agricultural show.

A grand total of £498.14 was raised! 🥳

This kind of fundraising is so important to small organisations like PBCT so thanks to all the participants and businesses for being so generous. 🙏

If you're heading to the Skye Agricultural Society Show on Saturday 1 August on the newly acquired King George V playing Field, be sure to stop by our stand.

Fiona, Iona, Alec and Luke will be there throughout the day, alongside some trustee volunteers, and would love to meet you, answer your questions, and chat about the work of the Trust and our plans for the community.
