Looking for an exciting summer holiday activity for young people on the Isle of Skye?

Wet & Wild is a fun-packed 4-day outdoor adventure programme for ages 10–16, based at Skye Sailing Club in Portree.

Participants will have the opportunity to try a range of activities including:

⛵ Dinghy Sailing
🚤 Powerboating
🏄 Windsurfing
🏄‍♂️ Paddleboarding
🛶 Raft Building
⚽ Beach Games

No previous experience is required and participants do not need to be able to swim. Our qualified instructors provide a safe, supportive environment where young people can build confidence, learn new skills and make new friends while enjoying time on and around the water.

📅 Week 1: Monday 13th July – Thursday 16th July
📅 Week 2: Monday 27th July – Thursday 30th July
🕥 10:30am – 3:30pm each day
📍 Skye Sailing Club, Portree, Isle of Skye
👧 Ages 10–16
💷 £150 per participant

On Thursday evening we set the cadets off on a little race, but with a difference: go round the course in opposite directions. 1st boat to launch got to pick which way they went - clockwise or anticlockwise. (They didn’t choose well 😁).

In the video, we see them crossing paths, but one of them is well ahead of the other on the course. Not every one likes to race, but it can be a really good way to hone sailing with purpose / force crews to sail on points of sail they perhaps avoid and to think about obstacles, routes and currents.
