Come along for a cup of coffee/tea good conversation, and an opportunity to catch up with fellow members in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

WALKING NETBALL, coming to a park near you! Free sports events.

The ladies of the Gwent Federation Walking Netball Team and their coach, Gary Fish, are bringing a roadshow to WI members. Come along and give it a go. There is no charge. The venues and dates are:

7pm, Tues 16 June at Bailey Park, Abergavenny;

7pm, Tues 30 June at the Multi Use Games Area, Raglan;

7pm Tues 14 July at Tredegar Park Recreation Ground, Newport; and

7pm Tues 28 July at Llandogo Park.

Whether watching or playing, please come along and support the ladies.

Little Mill & District WI
President Mrs Marilyn Jones, as the new president welcomed members to the June meeting. Mrs Jones introduced Hannah Bendall from Haze Flower Farm.

Mrs Bendall gave a brief history of her business stating that she started growing flowers during Covid lockdown in her back garden which has developed over the years into a thriving business. Hannah explained that she is a self- taught florist who uses flowers grown in her field to make bouquets, supply flowers for pubs and local florists. She also opens her farm to the public as a PYO to pick flowers.

Members were treated to a wonderful show of flowers including foxgloves, wallflowers, verbena and roses as Mrs Bendall skillfully placed each stem to complete a beautiful arrangement. The air was filled with the scents of the flowers and herbs.

The first of our Coffee and Chat events was held today in Treowen Village Hall where Newbridge WI meet. It is always a joy to speak with our fellow members and we did have some good chats including swapping ideas and speakers.

This event was open to all members and their friends from all WIs in Gwent.

Newbridge WI meet on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 7.00pm and would love to see new members join. Ring Gwent Federation Office 01633 864456 for further information or
