Why go to London for the Proms when Yorkshire can do it ourselves? 🎶
This Yorkshire Day, history will be made as the first-ever Yorkshire Proms comes to Bradford’s iconic St George’s Hall.
Bringing together the full Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra, Bradford Festival Choral Society, Bantam of the Opera Choir and special guests, Yorkshire Proms will celebrate the very best of Yorkshire’s music, heritage and identity in a spectacular evening of orchestral music, choral performances and audience participation.
From Yorkshire-inspired works and cinematic favourites to beloved Proms classics, this ambitious new event has been created to showcase the world-class talent we have right here on our doorstep.
And what would a Yorkshire Proms be without a singalong? Expect a rousing finale featuring Jerusalem, Land of Hope and Glory and, of course, Ilkley Moor Baht ‘at as voices from across the county come together in celebration.
As conductor Ben Crick puts it:
“We are celebrating Yorkshire’s voice, talent and identity – past, present and future.”
