Calling all Pontefract families!

Looking for fun activities for the whole family AND a chance to support a great cause? Look no further!

Join us on Sunday March 24th from 11AM -3PM at Guiding HQ on Carleton Park Road for a fantastic fundraising event to help renovate our hut.

We’ve got a day packed with fun for everyone including:

- Games and stalls for all ages
- Try your luck with our chocolate tombola
- Browse a fantastic selection of books at our book stall

And much more!

It’s the perfect opportunity to learn more about Girlguiding in the local area, help us raise funds to renovate our hut and of course, to grab a brew and a biscuit and chat with our friendly leaders.

Happy World Thinking Day! This special day connects millions of girls worldwide to explore global issues and share values.

Earlier this week, over 100 girls and volunteers from Ackworth Division Girlguiding came together to celebrate World Thinking Day!

This year's theme, "Our World, Our Thriving Future," inspired our girls to decorate trefoil biscuits, explore games from around the world, and renew their Girlguiding promise together.

If you have a great sense of adventure and want to help inspire the next generation of young women, then we're interested in hearing from you.

We're looking for volunteers across Ackworth and Pontefract to help us keep our Girlguiding units running smoothly.

Girlguiding is the UK's largest youth organisation dedicated completely to girls aged between 4 to 18, and helps empower girls so that they know they can do anything.

No two weeks are the same; one week we might be getting our hands dirty and learning how to grow our own food, another we may be exploring the great outdoors on a camping trip, and another we may be focusing on health and wellbeing.

We need all kinds of volunteers to help us keep things ticking over, so whether you're interested in helping us run a unit, or have a special skill such as accounting, marketing or DIY, or would be interested in exploring other ways to support your local Girlguiding community, we'd love to hear from you.
