Staffordshire Show TOW 🪢

A couple of weeks ago, our men’s and ladies’ teams competed in the annual Staffs YFC Tug of War competition 💪🏼

A huge well done to everyone who took part! For most of our members, this was only their second year competing, and for 5 members it is their first year!
We couldn’t be prouder of the progress, determination, and teamwork shown by both teams 🙌🏼

A special thank you to our coach, Vicky, for all her hard work and support throughout the season, as well as Kim from Cheadle YFC and Jim from Lichfield YFC for helping us out!!

We are continuing with training and hope to attend more competitions this year at some upcoming agricultural shows!

Last Tuesday we held our float dismantling and bbq social kindly hosted by the Ford family where all the float building nights have been. Was a great way for members to relax after being busy preparing for the show. Luckily the rain held off ☔️ and we even had the entertainment of watching a cow calve in the paddock next to us

✨Staffordshire Show: Show Float 2026 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿✨

Yesterday we took part in the annual show float competition. This year the theme was British Comedies and we had Gavin & Stacey!

We didn’t place in the float competition but our front board placed first 🏆🥇

A big thank you to all of our members that have helped build the float over the past 8 weeks!
We would also like to say thank you to our two float sponsors: Bathgate Walker and Adrian Marsh LTD

Thank you to the Ford family for hosting float building this year and the Slater family for the use of the trailer!
